A host of the West End’s brightest stars will take to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall for a special concert in aid of Acting For Others on 21 July 2021.
Presented by Alpha as part of the iconic venue’s 150th anniversary season, the third concert in the popular The Best of the West End series will feature a stellar line-up that includes Matthew Croke, Sophie Evans, Matt Henry, Ruthie Henshall, John Owen-Jones, Mica Paris and Layton Williams.
Alpha’s creative director, musical theatre favourite Ben Forster will also take to the stage along with Alpha Ambassadors of Arts, Lauren Samuels and Frederike Krum, and WOMAN – the female supergroup formed by Brian May and featuring Anna-Jane Casey, Kerry Ellis, Gina Murray and Mazz Murray.
The creative team for the production includes choreographer Stephen Mear, lighting designer Tim Lutkin and musical director Stuart Morley.
Featuring songs from much-loved musicals including Chicago, Wicked, West Side Story, 42nd Street and Les Misérables, the star performers will be accompanied by the MX Masterclass Choir and a live orchestra.
Commenting on his involvement in the event, Jesus Christ Superstar and Elf: The Musical star Forster said: “I am so honoured to be appointed creative director for Alpha’s Best of the West End annual concert at the iconic Royal Albert Hall.
“This is no ordinary concert and I am so excited to be part of the team creating what will be the most spectacular event, all in aid of a charity so close to my heart, Acting for Others.”
